Curriculum
The main language experienced at Cedarbank is French.
Spanish and Italian are experienced through taster sessions and lunchtime clubs.
Pupils can also experience a taster of Scottish Gaelic in some of our IDL activities during Scottish Week.
S1-S3 Broad General Education
In S1-S3 all four skills of Talking, Listening, Reading and Writing are developed through a range of topics. CfE benchmarks are used to plan and track pupil progress. In S1-S6 pupils explore aspects of French culture and film.

Senior Phase
Students can progress to SQA National 3, 4 or 5 and Higher in S4-S6.
Students can also do the SQA Modern Languages for Life and Work Award ay Levels 3 or 4 in S4-S6.
These courses offer students opportunities to develop and extend a wide range of skills. Students will develop broad, generic skills which will encourage employability, enterprise, citizenship and thinking skills all of which are valued in the modern workplace.
