For all young people approaching transition from school, this time will be hard, but particularly so for young people with an additional support need, for whom their future is perhaps not quite so clear. Transition Planning might not have happened yet and a destination post school undecided. This is an uncertain time and worrying period for young people and their parents, even without the impact of the Coronavirus.

That's where ENABLE Works would like to help.

Stepping Up LIVE is a remote specialist transition service for young people who have additional support needs in the senior phase ANYWHERE in Scotland, free of charge. We understand the unique challenges faced by young people in the senior phase, their families and teachers at this time and would like to offer our support.

Stepping Up LIVE is taken from our award winning Stepping Up programme which has been in operation for the last 10 years in over 70 schools across 11 Local Authorities. Stepping Up achieves a 98% positive destination rate, 30% jobs and 10% MA's.

• Soft Skill building
• Support to plan for the future
• Social and Emotional Support

Our trained and qualified Transitions Coordinators are available Monday- Friday to offer support and guidance as needed. We will offer individual sessions with young people and their families via any means they can access including Zoom, Skype, Whatsapp, Facebook or simply over the phone.

We want to make sure that, in the face of the current crisis, young people with additional support needs are not facing transition alone - we are all in this together.
