Developing the Young Workforce in the Senior Phase

Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) is the Scottish Government's Youth Employment strategy to better prepare young people for the world of work.

West Lothian Council and its Employability Partners are working together to develop and offer additional choices for young people considering leaving school this year.

If your young person had previously planned to leave school and is now considering returning session 2020/21 we encourage them to contact their school to discuss their options.

If your young person is leaving school in June 2020 we have put in place a number of supports to enable them to move into a positive and sustainable destination.
